The 17th episode of "Detective Precure!", the 23rd installment of the popular anime "Precure" series, titled "Memories with Mom," will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi on May 24th at 8:30 AM.
After solving a case to find a rabbit doll, Anna sees the client girl leaving with her mother and is reminded of the time she bought a birthday cake with her mother. Still feeling dazed after returning to the Kyutto Detective Agency, Anna goes out to buy some candy for Jet-senpai to clear her head, but on the way, she is approached by Hoba Kurea, who invites her to Patisserie Tutu.
Kurea, who is skilled at making original cakes, reveals her secret to cake making: "I imagine how the person eating it will feel and come up with a cake that will make them happiest." She then suggests that she would like to make a cake for Anna, saying, "I want to make you smile." When Kurea asks Anna what color comes to mind, Anna remembers a snowy day when she bought a birthday cake with her mother. At Kurea's urging, Anna also joins in making the cake.
The motif of "Detective Precure!" is "detective," and the theme is "seeing, feeling, and thinking for yourself to find the 'real' answer." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in need," and guided by a mysterious power, the main character time-slips from the present day of 2027 to 1999. A story of new encounters, friendships, and growth for the Precure transcends time.
Hikari Chiga will appear as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Ruruka Mori. It has also been announced that the mysterious Pretty Cure Cure Eclair, whose true identity is unknown, will make an appearance.
