Actor Takayuki Yamada appeared on "Naokiman's Urban Legend Wide Show SEASON3," a show hosted by urban legend YouTuber Naokiman, which aired on ABEMA on May 19th. He revealed that he had been frequenting Shinjuku's Kabukicho district since he was 15 years old.
In that day's broadcast, titled "Urban Legend Spot Bus Tour," the show explored the "unknown darkness" lurking in the streets we usually walk through, filming a tour of deep spots in Kabukicho. In addition to Yamada, Atsuko Hashiyasume and Kazunobu Kubota of the comedy duo "Torosamon" appeared, delving into various urban legends, from underground casinos and dangerous areas to even "chakra diagnosis."
When asked about urban legends, Yamada immediately replied, "Basically, I believe them all." Furthermore, when Kubota revealed, "The last time we went out drinking, we talked about additive-free products, chakras, Auschwitz, and dirty jokes until around 3 a.m.," Naokiman commented, "He's the perfect person for this place (laughs)," and the car was filled with laughter.
Yamada revealed that he had been frequenting Kabukicho since he was 15 or 16 years old, recalling that time, "I had just come to Tokyo and had no job, no money, and no friends." He said he used to watch street musicians he knew in front of the Shinjuku Koma Theater, and shared an anecdote from his youth, saying, "I had nothing to do, so I often went to Shinjuku."
