The following moment, at 8:05 a.m., saw a slight increase in attention, marking the peak of the day. As Rin waited in the hallway, Chikako came out, ready to go. "Why are you coming to the examination room today?" Chikako asked, to which Rin simply replied, "I thought it might be a change of pace." Chikako seemed to understand Rin's consideration. "Walking around the hospital isn't so bad, is it?" she said, and began walking slowly towards the examination room, led by Rin. It wasn't a dramatic scene, but it conveyed a sense of significant progress in their relationship. It was also nice to see Dr. Burns (Emma Howard) quietly watching over the two of them.
The final scene, at 8:06 AM, suddenly shifts to outside the hospital. In the previous day's episode 38, Naomi, who had ventured out into the city, encountered a man who suddenly called out to her, "Are you Yuunagi?" Following the man, Naomi arrived at a suspicious place at the back of an alley, seemingly waiting for him to come out. Suddenly, the man grabbed her shoulder and called out from behind, "You're a surprise, are you Naomi?" Hesitantly, Naomi looked at the man's face and saw that it was Kanta (Kitsusuke Fujiwara), who had tricked her before.
Naomi had spotted Kanta at the end of episode 38, and it seems Kanta had also noticed Naomi's presence. Naomi apparently revealed that she had been following the man because she suspected that Yunagi might be the mother who abandoned her. Kanta replies, "I'll look into it. I owe you one," around 8:06 AM.
In fact, the exchange between Kanta and Naomi continues until around 8:08 AM, but the level of attention plummets to 63.7% at 8:07 AM, and then drops to 60.8% at 8:08 AM.

Incidentally, the peak of viewership in the early part of the episode was around 8:01 AM (68.2%) when Rin asks Imai to be considerate of Chikako. The peak of viewership in the later part of the episode was around 8:12 AM (69.4%), coinciding with the most exciting part of the conversation between Rin and Chikako that began in the latter half of 8:08 AM. The two women started playing a board game in the hospital room and gradually began to open up to each other, and Chikako confided in Rin about the resentment she had been harboring. "Even at this age, I... I'm sad. About losing my breasts. About being next to my husband without breasts." The episode then continues with Chikako weeping as she expresses her feelings, and it seems that viewers were captivated when they learned what Chikako had been holding inside.
