It has been revealed that Yoko Hikasa will be appearing as the elementary school student Kirio in the TV anime "Kirio Fan Club," which is based on the manga "Pon-chan the Earth's Fish." Yu Hanasato will be appearing as Nozomi and Yu Serizawa will be appearing as Yua. The elementary school students Kirio, Nozomi, and Yua will appear in episode 8, "A Scorching Hot Night."
"Kirio Fan Club" is a one-sided romantic comedy about high school girls Miyoshi Aimi and Someya Nami, who engage in endless fantasies and exchanges of love for their classmate Kirio Ken. It was serialized in "COMIC RUEL" (Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha) from 2022 to 2024. It gained popularity, ranking 6th in "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2024" (Women's Edition) and 10th in "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2025" (Women's Edition) for two consecutive years, and was also adapted into a live-action drama.
The anime is directed by So Toyama and produced by Satelight. It is currently airing on the MBS/TBS anime block "Super Animeism TURBO".
