In episode 19, Nobunaga (played by Shun Oguri) hands over the family headship to his eldest son, Nobutada, and begins construction of a massive castle in Azuchi, with his sights set on unifying Japan.
Hideyoshi (Sosuke Ikematsu) joins the campaign against the Uesugi clan led by Shibata Katsuie (Makiya Yamaguchi), but clashes with Katsuie over strategy. Meanwhile, Kei (Riho Yoshioka) is suspected of colluding with a warlord from another country, and Koichiro (Nakano) heads to the village she has been secretly visiting.
There, Koichiro learns of the sad past that Kei had been hiding. Thinking of Kei's son, Yoichiro (played by Haru Takagi), Koichiro decides to adopt Yoichiro, and the story unfolds from there.
