On May 18th at 1pm, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) will air a tribute to author Aiko Sato, who passed away last month at the age of 102.
Ms. Sato passed away on April 29th due to old age. She began writing novels in her mid-twenties and won the Naoki Prize in 1969 for "The Battle is Over and the Sun Sets." She is known for works such as "Bloodline" and the essay collection "Ninety Years Old. What's So Great About That?"
The program features rare footage of Ms. Sato's past appearances, allowing viewers to look back on past days.
