The collaboration was realized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Mr. Osomatsu."
"Mr. Osomatsu" is based on Fujio Akatsuka's gag manga "Osomatsu kun." It depicts the daily lives of the six brothers as adults, and its outrageous gags have made it popular, especially among female anime fans. The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2015 to March 2016, the second season from October 2017 to March 2018, the third season from October 2020 to March 2021, and the fourth season from July to September 2025. It celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 6, 2025.
"Sgt. Frog" is a gag manga by Mine Yoshizaki that depicts the daily life of Keroro, an alien based on a frog who aims to invade Earth, as he lives with a boy named Fuyuki on Earth. The new theatrical anime film will be directed and written by Yuichi Fukuda, known for the drama series "Brave Yoshihiko" and the film series "Gintama". BN Pictures will produce the animation. This will be the first theatrical anime film for "Sgt. Frog. Frog" in approximately 16 years, since "Sgt . Sgt. Frog the Movie: The Birth of Ultimate Keroro - The Miracle Space-Time Island!!" released in 2010. It will be released on June 26th.
