"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Fridays at 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show where "detectives" tackle bizarre requests and worries submitted by viewers. On May 1st, Detective Yasushi Ishida investigated "A shy middle-aged man's first baseball experience." Special Director Jun Kaname, a native of Kagawa Prefecture and the "Vice Governor of Udon Prefecture" for a local PR project, made his first appearance, joined by Assistant Director Takanori Takeyama and Secretary Saori Masuda.
The request came from a 42-year-old man from Osaka Prefecture. He's a 42-year-old man who loves watching baseball games, but he's never played baseball with friends before.

From there, he went through one drill after another, playing catch for the first time in his life, long throws, fielding practice, and batting practice. Surprisingly, he seemed to have good baseball sense and even hit a double, but by this point he was already exhausted. Then, a practice game against Kaizuka Little League began. Was the baseball novice uncle able to fulfill his long-held dream?
