The third episode of the TV Asahi drama "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, will air on April 28th.
The series tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. The first two episodes topped the overall rankings on TVer, generating a lot of buzz, and the number of views for the on-demand streaming service has exceeded 3.69 million (calculated by TVerDATA MARKETING, period: April 14-26).
Mitsunori Neo (Takahashi), president of the IT company "NEOXIS," was supposed to have died after being pushed off a cliff... but when he wakes up, he finds himself 14 years earlier, in 2012. He has been "reincarnated" as Hideto Nomoto, the heir to a dry cleaning shop in a run-down shopping district, and while searching for the person who killed him, he stands up against the upper class from the perspective of an ordinary citizen.
In episode 3, thanks to Hideto's (who is actually Mitsumasa) idea, the "Akari Shopping Street" regains its vibrancy, and with the 10 million yen he wins in a bet with Togo (Masachika Ichimura), he is able to put an end to the debts his father, Eiji Nomoto (Fumiyo Kohinata), had been burdened with.
However, it is revealed that Eito had proposed to Sarasa (Anne Nakamura) in his previous life. Believing that Sarasa would be unhappy if they got married, Eito (Mitsumasa) does everything he can to guide Sarasa towards another path where she can be happy without marriage. He then involves the shopping district and launches a new business with his next initiative.
Eito (Kosei), who had been dominating the game using his greatest advantage, "memories of the future," finds himself in an unexpected situation. The possibility arises that he has altered his own history, putting "another Kosei" from the same era in mortal danger. Eito (Kosei) races against time to protect the life of the Kosei of the Heisei era...
