The 21st episode of the NHK morning drama series " Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka, aired on April 27th, showing Rin (Mikami) and Naomi (Asadora ) enrolling in the nursing school attached to Umeoka Girls' School. The seven first-year students gathered together, attracting the attention of viewers.
In the 21st episode, Rin and Naomi enroll in the nursing school attached to Umeoka Girls' School. Studying alongside them are Tae (Erika Ikuta), a bright student born into a family of court physicians during the Edo period; Kiyo (Akiko Kikuchi), the oldest at 32 and a devout Christian; Yuki (Tomomi Nakai), the daughter of a viscount who admires Florence Nightingale; Shinobu (Akira Kigoshi), the fourth daughter of a kimono shop owner in Nihonbashi who longs to wear a nurse's uniform; and Tome (Rin Harashima), the youngest child of a wealthy farming family from Aomori Prefecture. The dormitory life of these seven girls, each with different ages and personalities, begins.
As the girls introduced themselves in the dormitory and the atmosphere became lively, Naomi looked exasperated and said, "What's with this exchange?", while Tae muttered, "Girls' camaraderie is annoying." Then Tae said, "I didn't come here for some half-hearted reason like wanting to wear a nurse's uniform, but rather to make a living," to which Naomi retorted sarcastically, "Of course, a doctor's daughter is different."
To this, Tae retorted, "I'm certainly different from you. Since I was little, I've watched my father help people suffering from illness. I enrolled here not to live for myself, but to save the lives of the sick," which created a tense atmosphere between Naomi and Tae. Rin hastily intervened, "What's wrong, Naomi? Tae, if you make such a scary face, you'll only make the sick people feel worse," to which Tae responded with a stiffened expression, "Huh?"
Suddenly, Yuki, who hadn't introduced herself yet, stood up and shouted, "Ms. Nightingale was a kind person with deep compassion!" and that's where the broadcast ended for the day.
On social media, comments included: "She has some unique classmates," "All the classmates are quite quirky lol," "The students have all sorts of circumstances, it reminds me of Torako and the others from ' The Tiger and Her Wings'," "The dorms remind me of 'Hiyokko'," "Naomi is in the Yone-san position," "It looks like it's going to get interesting once the nursing school arc starts," and "I wonder if there will be human drama like in 'Tiger with Wings'."
