A press conference and open dress rehearsal for "AmberS," starring Kazuya Ohashi of " Naniwa Danshi " and Takuto Teranishi of "timelesz," was held on April 24th at "EX Theater Ariake." This is the inaugural performance at the new theater within the multi-purpose entertainment complex "Tokyo Dream Park," with Shigeaki Kato of the popular group "NEWS" serving as the original author, scriptwriter, and creative producer.
At the beginning of the press conference, Ohashi delivered her familiar self-introduction, "I ate too much pudding so my butt is all jiggly!" This drew laughter from the audience, and Teranishi, who spoke next, gave a wry smile and said, "That's a bit awkward..."
Ohashi commented, "This is my first time doing an opening performance, and I didn't even know what the term 'opening performance' meant, but when I looked it up, it said it was something amazing." He added, "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opening performance, and I hope everyone involved will enjoy watching it together with us, as we are given the opportunity to perform Ambers."
Teranishi also expressed his excitement, saying, "I don't think I'll have many opportunities in my life to be involved in the opening performance, so I'm looking forward to enjoying this opportunity, and I'm especially excited that people will be able to see Kato's original story and work starting tomorrow."
Soya Igari of the popular junior group "KEY TO LIT (Kiteretsu)" revealed, "I can see them growing every day as I watch them, and I'm sure they're both carrying the same weight on their shoulders as co-leads, but the cast definitely trusts Teranishi more. Ohashi had his final full rehearsal yesterday, and when he got flustered, he would slip out in Kansai dialect saying, 'Isn't it ○○?' a few times..." When Ohashi panicked and said, "Kato doesn't know that," Kato jokingly teased him with a laugh, "So, should we call in a different actor? Like Michieda (Shunsuke)?"
The press conference was attended by Kato, Kawahara Masahiko, Ohashi, Teranishi, Igari, Shimazaki Toa, Kawasaki Koki, Matsuo Ryu, Yamazaki Reina, Watanabe Gota, Makaze Suzuho, and Ichikawa Udanji.
