TV Tokyo's popular information variety program, "Shutsugen! Admatic Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature Sendagaya, Tokyo (Shibuya Ward) in its April 25th broadcast.
Sendagaya is famous for its sports facilities, including the National Stadium and Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, as well as the Shogi Hall. It's also an attractive neighborhood with gourmet restaurants frequented by celebrities and the first Japanese store of a famous apparel brand.
The program will feature gourmet spots such as the local Chinese restaurant that table tennis player Miwa Harimoto frequents between matches, the famous charcoal-grilled steak restaurant that Miu Hirano goes to, the spice curry that appears in Haruki Murakami's essays, a hidden French restaurant with dishes named after famous songs, and an Italian restaurant in a back alley with the ultimate carbonara.
Furthermore, the program will cover topics such as a collection of apparel shops, a specialty store selling plain white T-shirts, a "vending machine" where you can buy wedding rings 24 hours a day, a 24-hour ramen shop specializing in pork back fat ramen, a long-established soba restaurant popular for its curry and Chinese noodles, and the fact that Kunitachi is the only place in Japan where a popular mascot character is featured on a Noh stage.
The guests were actor Shinji Takeda and freelance announcer Aika Kanda.
