The second episode of the TV Asahi Thursday drama "Unsolved Cases: Metropolitan Police Department Document Investigator Season 3" (Thursdays at 9 PM), starring actress Kyoka Suzuki, will air on April 23rd.
In the last five minutes of the first episode, the physically strong and passionate detective Yashiro Tomo (Haru), who had been partnered with Narumi Risa (Suzuki) until "Season 2," made a surprise appearance, generating a lot of buzz. In the second episode, Tomo continues to appear, reuniting with her colleagues from "Season 1," including Koga Kiyoshige (Sawamura Kazuki), Kusaka Shinji (Kenichi Endo), and Kuwabe Ichiro (Yamauchi Keiya).
Thanks to Tomo's efforts, Yasushi Nagasawa, who had suddenly emerged as a suspect in the serial murders, was apprehended. However, Nagasawa consistently denies committing the crimes. As the interrogation hits a dead end, Risa instructs Hinako Mutsu (Yuna Kuroshima) to "convey my words to the 'culprit' without a single mistake." The story then moves closer to uncovering the truth behind the serial murders and an unsolved case from three years ago.
"Unsolved Cases: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Document Investigator" is a mystery series in which unsolved cases are investigated using written documents as clues. It started in April 2018, and this is the third season, approximately six years later. As the 6th Section (Document Deciphering Section) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division's "Special Investigation Task Force" faces a crisis of survival, the brilliant detective Narumi Risa and her younger superior, the new section chief Mutsu Hinako, team up as partners to tackle difficult cases.
