Actress Momoko Fukuchi stars in the NHK nighttime drama "Radio Star" (NHK General, Monday-Thursday 10:45 PM). On April 22nd, episodes 14 and 15 will be broadcast consecutively.
"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how an ordinary citizen becomes a star. The theme song is "A Boat Full of Happiness," written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the 14th episode, the radio stars face their greatest challenge yet. A forecast of heavy rain has been issued for Suzuno Town. Firefighter Nishikawa (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) suggests that they should make an emergency broadcast as a warning may be issued. They divide up the tasks and prepare to broadcast, but the rain is heavier than expected, and troubles continue to ensue, such as Tada (Kaito Ooyagi) and Sakura (Takako Tokiwa) being unable to get there in time.
Kanade (Fukuchi) struggles to fulfill her responsibilities as a personality, feeling increasingly anxious, but the rain continues to fall...
In the 15th episode, the rain gradually subsided and the evacuation order was lifted. Kanade and the others finally got a breather, but they realized there were many things to reflect on and that Radio Star still had a mountain of challenges ahead. First, with the goal of increasing their recognition, they decided to try broadcasting from outside. They set up a broadcast booth at the town's sports day and did a live broadcast.
The first live broadcast was going smoothly, but suddenly one of the participants collapsed on the spot.
