The model features meticulous detail in its molding and coloring, including a sculpted entrance to the cockpit at the rear of the tender. It also includes a gimmick that illuminates the headlights of the lead car while the train is in motion.
In addition to the original bridge piers, end rails, and signs, figures of Maetel, Tetsuro, and the conductor are also included.
