A video showing the events "25 years later" from episode 25, "A Hero's Story," the final episode of the third season of the TV anime "Fire Force , " based on the manga by Atsushi Ohkubo serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), has been released on YouTube. Diggy-MO', who created the song "Bakusou Yumeka" that played in the video, has provided a comment.
Diggy-MO' commented, "At first I was surprised, like, 'Huh? Why my song??' I feel so honored that it was used in such a precious ending slot that serves as a bridge from the final episode. 'Bakusou Yumeka' is my solo debut song, so I have a special attachment to it, and I am very grateful to have been given this rare opportunity again after all this time. Thank you. I am happy to be able to be a small part of this long-loved series once again."
"It was so charming and fantastic. The smiling moon and the sun, I thought, 'Ah, this is the style!' It's symbolic and I love it. At the end, it connected back to the characters from that time, and I was like, 'Wow!' and I got really excited as the music played. There was a sense of nostalgia and happiness welling up along with memories of 'SOUL EATER,' and I'm grateful that I can now enjoy this big concept that connects chronologically as an anime series, and that was also very appealing," he said.
"Fire Force" is a manga series that ran in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" from 2015 to 2022. It depicts the exploits of a special fire brigade as they confront the terror and mystery of spontaneous human combustion, a phenomenon in which people suddenly burst into flames and become fiery monsters. The series has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2019, the second season from July to December 2020, and the first cour of the third season from April to June. The second cour of the third season began airing in January in the late-night anime block "Animeism" on MBS, TBS, and other networks, and the final episode, episode 25, "A Hero's Story," aired late at night on April 3rd.
