It was revealed on April 4th that the opening sequence for the TV anime "Oshiri Tantei" (Butt Detective), based on the picture books by Troll, has been revamped. This is the first time the opening sequence has been updated since the show began airing in 2018. The new episode premiered on NHK E-TV on the same day, and the new opening sequence was unveiled.
The new opening sequence features Oshiri Tantei thieves, performing the "Butt Dance" to the theme song, "Puputto Fumutto Kaiketsu Dance." Nemesis characters such as Phantom G, the boss of the Phantom Academy, Phantom T, Phantom H, and Phantom Q also make appearances. The sequence also includes an action scene where Phantom Z and Phantom N challenge Oshiri Tantei to battle.
The opening sequence is designed to change in parts, and in addition to the "Nandemo Kaiketsu Club" version that was shown on the April 4th broadcast, there are apparently two other versions.
"Oshiri Tantei" (Butt Detective) is based on a popular picture book series that has sold over 35 million copies worldwide. The story follows Oshiri Tantei, a famous detective whose face resembles a butt, as he solves difficult cases with his catchphrase, "Hmm, I smell something." The TV anime series began airing in 2018 and is now in its eighth year. It airs every Saturday at 9:00 AM on NHK E-tele.
