Akari Takaishi , the actress who gained attention for her role as the heroine Toki in the NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake ," which aired its final episode on March 27, has been appointed as the 2026 annual visual character for the commercial complex "MIYASHITA PARK" in Shibuya, Tokyo. Starting April 1, Takaishi's image will be displayed throughout "MIYASHITA PARK" and other locations.
The visuals have previously featured accomplished actors such as Sosuke Ikematsu and Takumi Saito. This year's theme is the same as last year: "NO MORE NORMAL. Straightforward, but break the mold."
Hideyuki Kato, who was in charge of the design, commented, "In this visual, I tried to bring out both the strength and delicacy of actress Akari Takaishi with a simple composition. A supple presence and quiet strength intersect. I aimed for a visual in which Takaishi 'straightforwardly breaks through' into a free world that is not influenced by anything."
Takaishi commented, "I was surprised when I was asked to do this because it's a familiar place that I visit regularly. I really love all of MIYASHITA PARK's visuals up until now because they are all unique and cool, so I approached the photoshoot with a playful spirit, just like the branding message, 'NO MORE NORMAL. Straightforward, but break the mold.' It was a lot of fun!"
