It has been revealed that actress Mai Shiraishi is appearing in a spin-off of Suntory's "Premol-chan" commercial series, which depicts the characters of the popular anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" as adults in live-action. She appeared as "Premium Migiwa-san" in the music video (MV) released on Suntory's official YouTube channel on March 31st.
The music video promotes the revamped contents and packaging of "The Premium Malt's," and features an original song titled "When the Premium Malt's Can Changes from Gold to Navy Blue," which conveys the change in the base color of the packaging from gold to navy blue.
Premium Migiwa is portrayed as someone who, after many years, has made her major debut as an idol, but still has Hanawa-kun in her heart... She appears in a pink blouse with eye-catching white frills at the chest, a light blue long skirt, braided pigtails, and clear-framed glasses. Her outfit is a glamorous idol look based on the pink clothes and glasses that were her trademark as a child.
This is Shiraishi's first time shooting a full-fledged music video in about six years, since her time in the idol group Nogizaka46. On set, she expressed her anxiety, saying, "It's been a while, so I'm nervous," but as soon as the cameras started rolling, she quickly got used to it and performed charmingly.
