The final episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, aired on March 29th (Sundays at 9 PM). The meaning behind the actions of Masachika Makita, played by Hideaki Ito, was revealed, leading to expressions of sympathy from viewers.

In the final episode, Hayase (Ryohei Suzuki) and Natsumi (Erika Toda) find themselves in a desperate situation, but with the help of Fuyuhashi, they manage to escape their predicament. Furthermore, with the help of Makita (Ito), who was thought to have betrayed them, they are able to capture Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura) and Yaichi (Danjuro Ichikawa).
Makoto, who called his own brother "the whale," did everything in his power to hunt him down. In reality, even though he was his own brother, he was a man of strong conviction who would not overlook wrongdoing. A few years ago, he discovered that the real Gido (Suzuki) was receiving money from the underworld figure Fuyubashi (Nagase Ren), but instead of arresting him, he had him infiltrate as a spy on the condition that he "find evidence to hunt down the whale."
In reality, Yaichi's wife, Hazuki (Megumi Kobashi), was having an affair with him. Twelve years ago, Yaichi was responsible for a hit-and-run accident that Hazuki caused, which also affected Makita's career. Hazuki took the blame for the accident. Despite feeling guilty for ruining her husband Masachika's career as a police officer, she continued her relationship with Yaichi. Then, when Yaichi's crime was exposed, Hazuki left home, leaving behind divorce papers...
Hayase's family was reunited, Fuyuhashi rebooted and started a new life with his friends at "Shelter," and even the "final boss" Goroku was loved by his family. However, despite his rise in status, Makita was the only one whose family fell apart, resulting in a bittersweet ending. On social media, there was a flood of sympathetic comments such as "Makita is the most pitiful," "Poor Makita... just so pitiful," and "I hope he gets his reward."
