Actress Kazue Fukiishi will be making her first film appearance in 11 years in the movie " Shijiki Fudosan " (directed by Taisuke Kawamura, opening May 15th), starring Tomohisa Yamashita . Scene stills from her appearance were released on March 27th.
The series is based on the manga of the same name, which is serialized in the manga magazine "Big Comic" (Shogakukan). It is a social comedy about Nagase Zaichi (Yamashita), a real estate salesman who, after a strange turn of events, can no longer lie, and who uses his honesty and sincerity as weapons to delve into the "dark side" of the real estate industry. The series was broadcast on NHK in 2022, and a special drama and a second season of the series were broadcast in 2024. Haruka Fukuhara, Rika Izumi, and Shinobu Hasegawa of the comedy duo "Sissonne" are among the cast members.
This marks Fukiishi's first film appearance in 11 years since the 2015 film "S - The Last Policeman - Recovery of Our Future." She says she is a fan of the drama series "Shijiki Fudosan" and decided to take on this role immediately after reading the script. "Although it was a short time, I was able to be included among the staff and cast, who have great teamwork, and I had a very pleasant time," she said, expressing her joy at being a part of the project.
Fukiishi plays Sanae Michihata, the landowner of a tomato farm who single-handedly manages the farm. The released still shows her talking about the tomato farm with Kiriyama (Hayato Hayato Ichihara) former colleague and rival, but there is an unsettling atmosphere between the two. In fact, as Kiriyama tries to develop the land of Michihata's tomato farm by converting it to agricultural land, the sinister plot of Ikaruga (Katsunori Takahashi), the president of Minerva Real Estate, a rival company of Tosaka Real Estate where Nagase works, is closing in.
Additionally, Taisho Iwasaki of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT's junior group "KEY TO LIT (Kiteretsu)" also appears in the film as an original cast member, alongside Fukiishi. Iwasaki revealed the atmosphere of the filming, saying, "I was so happy and had so much fun because everyone welcomed me so warmly. I think we were able to create something wonderful."
Iwasaki plays Yamaguchi Hiroto, a musician and classmate of Tsukishita (Haruka Fukuhara). Hiroto lives in a property that Nagase brokered and contracted back when Nagase was known as "Liar Nagase" for his willingness to lie to achieve sales targets. However, he is told to vacate the property due to the "fixed-term lease agreement." Furthermore, Hiroto has fallen behind on rent payments and caused trouble with his neighbors, leaving him with nowhere to go. Tsukishita tries desperately to rescue him...
The newly released stills include images of Hiroto smiling as he plays and sings on the street, as well as a scene of him talking with Tsukishita in a somewhat somber atmosphere. There is also a scene of him acting alongside his senior, Yamashita. In one striking shot, Hiroto, wearing headphones like a true musician, pretends to be engrossed in playing the guitar, while Nagase looks at him with a somewhat cold gaze. Can Nagase and Tsukishita, who get caught up in the troubles surrounding Hiroto, resolve the issues? And how will Hiroto confront the problems he faces...? Pay attention to the story woven by the film's original cast.
