The final episode of "Mori Kasumi's All-Lies TV," a variety show hosted by former TV Tokyo announcer and talent Mori Kasumi (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 2:17 AM), aired late at night on March 25th, in which Mori revealed her true feelings about love.
On this day, an event titled "Overcoming Disliked Jobs" was held where participants revealed the jobs they dislike and gave each other advice. Maki Fukuda of the comedy trio "3時のヒロイン" (3 O'Clock Heroine) said that she dislikes "shows that delve into your love life."
Fukuda, who admitted to being uncomfortable talking about romance, explained the downsides of exaggerating her answers, saying, "When I'm asked about it, I tend to give big, templated answers, which has led to me being portrayed as a very aggressive, carnivorous woman. There are even short videos being made featuring me as 'Maki Fukuda the Carnivore'."
Then, when asked, "Kasumi, you can't really tell the whole truth either, can you?", Mori confessed, "I get asked about my love life a lot. But I can't tell you everything, can I? There are the other person to consider, and I don't want to be seen as the kind of woman who tells everything... I don't talk about the relationships I really cherish. So, I have a kind of 'statute of limitations' for myself. Like, 'Is this a relationship I can talk about now?'"
When asked about the "statute of limitations" on when to talk about past relationships, she revealed her own rule: "If it was a relationship that lasted about three months, I think it's okay to talk about it fairly soon, but if it lasted for a year or more, I'd wait a year."
