Singer Aina the End appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) which aired on March 25th.
Aina said that her mother had once worked hard to become a singer, and added, "Her dream didn't come true, so she returned to Osaka, got married, and gave birth to me. I think she had me take dance lessons all this time as if to entrust the fragments of her unfulfilled dream to her daughter."
She decided to move to Tokyo to pursue a singing career, but revealed the name of the university she was accepted into: "Actually... my mother didn't want me to leave Osaka. She wanted me to go to university. So I took the entrance exam for Kinki University and got in. My mother even paid the enrollment fee and was determined not to let me move to Tokyo (laughs). But my father said, 'If Aina wants to do it, we have to let her,' and he let me go."
Aina said, "I think my mother must have been very worried," but added, "I love my dad and mom very much, and I respect them more than anyone in the world, so I'm truly motivated to work hard to become a person like them. Please live a long life. Thank you for everything."
