Actress Atsuko Maeda will be appearing as a guest on the MBS talk variety show "Tsukai! Akashiya TV" airing on March 21st at 3 PM.
The program looks back on Maeda's career to date, using a resume board of entertainers. Maeda reveals that she was approached at a McDonald's in Shibuya when she was 12 years old. The scout told her, "I think I'll contact you when you're around 16, so wait for me." She then recounts how she got her debut, saying, "I got a phone call a few years later."
When asked a direct question from an audience member, "What is your relationship with your ex-husband now?", Maeda began to talk about her current relationship with her ex-husband, actor Ryo Katsuji, saying, "Sanma-san has had a big influence on me."
She revealed that after their divorce, an incident where her ex-husband received advice from Sanma Akashiya inspired them both to aim for a good relationship like that between Sanma Akashiya and his ex-wife, Shinobu Otake.
Maeda says, "I'm just friends with my ex-husband," but Sanma cuts in, "Isn't that just superficial conversation?" Maeda replies, "Things go better after we break up," and a frank conversation between the two divorced people unfolds.
