The ninth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Mirai Shida, aired on March 17th. The true identity of "Ma-kun," the father of Sota (played by Yu Amano), whom Mirai (Shida) had been searching for, was revealed, causing a stir on social media.

Encouraged by Sota's words, "You have to properly convey your true feelings," Mirai decides to confess her feelings to her ex-boyfriend, Masao (Akihisa Shiono).
Mirai told Masao, "I really want to be with Yoshi (Masaki). I don't know why, but I just want to be with Yoshi." When Sota, who was listening nearby, asked, "Does that mean you love him?", Mirai honestly revealed her feelings, saying, "No, I didn't say it that far."
Masao immediately replied, "I love you." He said he loved both Mirai and Sota, and confessed, "I have a lot of flaws, but I still love Mirai!" Mirai was now certain that "Ma-kun" was Masao.

In the final scene, while Mirai and Masaki are shown living together, it is revealed that Sota, who was supposed to be born in 2031, never appeared.
