It has been announced that a character design card drawn by Shigeki Kohara will be distributed starting March 20th as a gift for moviegoers during the eighth week of the theatrical film "Mobile Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash" (directed by Shuko Murase), the second chapter of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash "Gundam" series, "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash: The Witch of Circe".
Character designer Shigeki Kohara has created illustrations depicting each member of Mafty going about their daily lives. He has captured their calm expressions and everyday moments that were not shown in the film.
"Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published between 1989 and 1990 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the "creator" of the "Gundam" series. Set in Universal Century 0105, the story follows Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, as he pilots the new mobile suit XI Gundam and rebels against the Earth Federation government.
The anime was announced to consist of three chapters, with the first chapter released in June 2021. The second chapter has been a hit, grossing over 2.24 billion yen in just 29 days since its release on January 30th.
