It has been revealed that Mizuki Yamauchi of the idol group "AKB48" has joined the talent agency "Avex AY Factory" as of March 1st.
Yamauchi is from Tokyo, born on September 20, 2001, making her 24 years old. She joined AKB48 in 2016 as a 16th generation member. Known affectionately as "Zukki" by fans, she continues to be a central member, having served as the center for their 57th single, "Shitsuren, Arigato" (Thank You for the Heartbreak).
During her childhood acting career, she appeared as Young Nala in the Shiki Theatre Company's musical "The Lion King," and has continued to appear in many musicals and stage productions since joining the group. Last year, she co-starred in the film "Father and Daughter's Seven-Day War," further expanding her range as an actress.
Regarding joining the agency, Yamauchi commented, "I'm really excited right now because I see this as an opportunity to further broaden my horizons! Together with everyone at Avex who has been so kind and supportive, I will continue to grow both as a member of AKB48 and as an individual, Mizuki Yamauchi!"
Regarding her future activities, she said, "Regardless of genre, I want to actively take on challenges in acting in film and on stage, variety shows, and even unknown worlds that I haven't tried yet, without forgetting my hunger for success." She added enthusiastically, "I want to become a charming person by making use of what I've cultivated so far and the various experiences that will come my way. I will do my best to bring lots of smiles and energy to everyone who supports me every day!"
