It has been announced that the fifth and final episode of the popular anime "Girls und Panzer" will be screened on October Getsuku. This will be the first new episode in approximately three years since the fourth episode was released in theaters in October 2023. In addition to regular screenings, Dolby Atmos, 4DX, and MX4D, it has also been announced that the film will be screened in Dolby Cinema, a first for the "Girls und Panzer" series. All five formats will be released simultaneously on Getsuku.
It was also announced that a pilot episode of the spin-off comic "Girls und Panzer : Ribbon Warrior" will be screened after the screening of the fourth act of "Girls und Panzer : More Love-Love Operation!". Actas will be producing the animation. The fourth act will be screened from April 10th.
"Girls und Panzer" is an anime set in a world where "Tankery," a form of combat using tanks, is considered a refined accomplishment alongside flower arrangement and tea ceremony. The story follows girls who work together to win the national Tankery tournament. The TV anime aired from 2012 to 2013, and the theatrical anime film was released in 2015. The first episode of the final chapter was screened in December 2017, the second in June 2019, the third in March 2021, and the fourth in October 2023.
