It has been announced that the first season of the TV anime adaptation of the popular light novel series "Rascal Does Not Dream," titled "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai," will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 starting April 5th.
It has also been announced that the second round of advance tickets with limited edition merchandise for the theatrical anime "Rascal Does Not Dream Does Not Dream of Dear Friends," which will be released in the fall of 2026, will be sold at the Aniplex Store booth at "AnimeJapan 2026," the world's largest anime event, held on March 28th and 29th at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). The tickets feature a newly drawn illustration of Mai Sakurajima in a movie theater and come with a clear file as a bonus. Post-event online sales will also be available.
The "Rascal Does Not Dream" series is a light novel written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi, with "adolescent syndrome," a condition that occurs during adolescence, as its key theme. The original novels have sold over 3 million copies in total.
The TV anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" aired from October to December 2018. The theatrical anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl" was released in June 2019, "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" was released in theaters on June 23, 2023, and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid" was released on December 1st of the same year. The TV anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus," based on the "College Student Arc," aired from July to September 2025.
