Ryoma Takeuchi, who stars in the drama "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (Tuesdays at 9 PM) currently airing on TV Asahi, and Yuri, who is in charge of the theme song, gave an interview at the TV Asahi headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on March 13th.
Immediately after the interview, the two appeared on the music program "Music Station (M-Ste)." Yuri sang the drama's theme song, "The World Has Ended." Meanwhile, Takeuchi performed "Last Chance Salvation," a song from her starring musical "The Man Who Calls Forth Miracles," together with the other cast members. This was Takeuchi's first time singing on "M-Ste."
Takeuchi expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I don't know if I'll be able to appear on 'Music Station' again, so I'll give it my all and work 120% with everyone so that I have no regrets." She also praised Yuri's performance, singing with the video of "Reunion" playing in the background, saying, "The video was playing and it was linked to the performance, so it was a luxurious experience."
Yuri smiled and said, "I want to sing with all my heart so that people will think the drama was good, and so that those who haven't seen it yet will want to watch it." After watching Takeuchi sing and dance during rehearsals, she said with sparkling eyes, "I'm going to perform after Takeuchi, but I can't dance at all, so it would be fun if I could sing like that."
The two are the same age. Yuri said she had seen a video of Takeuchi singing CHAGE and ASKA's "LOVE SONG," and offered, "Since seeing that video, I often sing 'LOVE SONG' at karaoke with younger singers. I would love for you to sing it with me someday." Takeuchi readily agreed, saying, "I would love to!"
