A global collaboration project between the TV anime "Witch Hat Atelier," based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, and X began on June 15th. By entering the hashtags "#WitchHatAtelier," "#WitchHatAtelier," and "#Fudemushi" on X, original Fudemushi emojis from the series will appear for a limited time. As the first installment of exclusive content, an interview series titled "Behind the Scenes of Witch Hat," in which the cast and staff talk about the making of the show, has also started.
The first interview features a first-ever conversation between Rena Motomura, who plays the main character Coco, and director Ayumu Watanabe. They passionately discuss behind-the-scenes aspects of production, their approaches to voice acting, and their work as directors.
"Atelier of Witch Hat" tells the story of Coco, a girl who longs to be a wizard, as she steps into the mysterious world of magic. The series began serialization in "Monthly Morning Two" (Kodansha) in 2016, and has sold over 9 million copies worldwide. It has been selected for manga awards in France, Spain, South Korea, and other countries, and in 2020 won the Eisner Award for Best Asian Work, attracting attention from around the world.
The TV anime is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
