The eighth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring Ryohei Suzuki, will air on March 15th (Sundays at 9 PM).
In the previous episode... Hayase (Suzuki), who had taken on the identity of Gido (Suzuki), with the help of Machi (Ueno Suzuka), located the hiding place of the goods worth 10 billion yen that Ichika (Toda Erika) had stolen, and asked Fuyuhashi (Nagase Ren) for his cooperation. However, Fuyuhashi was furious, saying that Machi, having lost her comrades, would surely try to steal the goods herself.
Hayase and Fuyuhashi hurried to the hiding place, but Machi was covered in blood and soon passed away.
Immediately afterward, Ichika arrived at the hiding place with Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura) and others. However, as soon as Hayase confronted her, saying, "Ichika was the one who stole it," she sped away in a car. With a bitter expression on her face, Ichika, behind the wheel, muttered, "I'm sorry, Machi-chan..."

Hayase and Fuyuhashi were searching for Ichika. Using location data, they pinpointed her home and cornered her, but she managed to escape at the last moment.
Fueled by her determination, Fuyuhashi mobilizes Kiriya (Ryoka Fujisawa) and the other members of "Shelter" to create her own encirclement. Hayase also begins to move to investigate Ichika from a different angle. She visits Hayase Confectionery and then goes to see her younger sister, Ayaka (Yuki Yoda).
While Hayase was visiting Ayaka, he received a call from Ichika. Hayase then heard about a certain decision Ichika had made.
However, Fuyuhashi feels a strong sense of unease about Hayase's continued independent actions. The rift becomes irreparable, and the two finally fall out.
Isolated, Hayase finally tracks down Ichika's whereabouts through his own investigation. Hayase and Ichika confront each other, but a shocking event occurs.
Meanwhile, Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura) was quietly making his next move. Using Kaieda (Yoshi Sakou), he planned to use the recovered 10 billion yen worth of goods for a scheme. And the person Goroku called was Ichika. What was his aim...?
The script is by Tsutomu Kuroiwa. It's a suspense story in which Riku Hayase, falsely accused of murdering his wife, abandons his family and past to reboot as a corrupt detective, Gido, and pursues the real killer.
