The eighth episode of the drama series "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Ryoma Takeuchi, will air on March 10th. The drama is a film adaptation of Yokoseki Dai's novel "Reunion" (Kodansha), which won the 56th Edogawa Rampo Prize (2010), starring Takeuchi. Four classmates share a "secret" that they buried the gun used in a crime under a cherry tree during their elementary school days. 23 years later, Junichi (Takeuchi), who has become a detective, reunites with his first love, Iwamoto Makiko (Inoue Mao), one of the four, only to find that she has become a suspect in a new murder case. This heartbreaking human love mystery begins with a fateful reunion.
In episode 8, Junichi (Takeuchi) becomes more convinced that Makiko (Inoue) is the real culprit in the supermarket manager murder case. Meanwhile, Makiko, who is believed to be in possession of the murder weapon, a handgun, disappears. Finally, Keisuke (Koji Seto), Naoto (Watanabe Daichi), and others confess their lies, and the truth about the night of the incident, as well as a "heart-wrenching secret from the past" that only Makiko and Naoto shared, are revealed...
