It has been announced that the film "Doctor X: The Movie FINAL" (December 2024), starring Ryoko Yonekura, will be broadcast for the first time on terrestrial television on March 19th on TV Asahi.
The film marks the final installment of the popular TV drama series "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko," which began airing on TV Asahi in 2012. The story uncovers the secret behind the birth of the protagonist, the genius surgeon Daimon Michiko (played by Yonekura), who "never fails." The film was a huge hit, attracting over 2.45 million viewers and grossing 3.28 billion yen (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha).
The film also stars regular cast members Kei Tanaka, Mio Imada, Kosuke Suzuki, Kenichi Endo, Ittoku Kishibe, and the late Toshiyuki Nishida, for whom this was his last film. Guest appearances include Shota Sometani and Go Ayano.
It will be broadcast from 7:00 PM to 9:48 PM on March 19th. However, there will be no catch-up streaming.
