The sixth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm), starring Suzuki Ryohei, aired on March 1st. After the broadcast, the character relationship chart on the official website was updated, and the way a certain character was described became a hot topic on social media.
In the sixth episode, titled "The Final Chapter of the First Chapter," Gido (Suzuki) goes alone to Goroku's (Kitamura Yukiya) house to rescue his wife Mayu (Kuroki Meisa), but is captured. Hayase (Suzuki) goes into enemy territory not as a "police officer" but as a man to save both Gido and Mayu, but is captured.
Gido reveals that he is the culprit who stole the 10 billion yen, and attempts to fight back, but is shot dead. Goroku then coldly commands Hayase, "Now, I'd like to ask the new Gido to do his first job. Please bury this man." And so the story unfolds.
In the relationship chart on the official website, "Dead" has been added to Gido Ayumu's column, and comments on social media include, "There's no way he's actually alive," "I cried when I saw it listed as dead," "Maybe he was just pretending to be dead..." and "He was really killed."
