Actor Mitsuki Takahata appeared at the first screening event for the Japanese dubbed version of the film "Wicked" (released March 6th, directed by Jon M. Chu) held in Tokyo on March 3rd. This was her first public appearance since announcing the birth of her first child on January 28th. When Takahata appeared on stage, the audience erupted in warm applause, and she smiled and said, "Thank you."
Takahata and actor Masaki Okada announced their marriage on their respective Instagram accounts on November 19, 2024. They announced their pregnancy with their first child on July 16, 2025, and on January 28 this year, they wrote, "Our family has grown safely," and "I will do my best to make sure that you love this world that has been born into."
The event also featured appearances by Miisha Shimizu, Kaiho Naoto, Miyu Irino, Kemio, and Yuriyan Retriever.
The film tells the story of two witches who care for each other but are driven down completely opposite paths, laughing together, sometimes misunderstanding each other, getting hurt, and coming to terms with the choices they have made.
