The group sounds band The Wild Ones will be appearing on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 PM on March 4th. Their debut song "Omoide no Nagisa" (Omoide no Nagisa), released in 1966, became an instant hit, and the band is celebrating its 60th anniversary since its formation.
After the death of leader Kunihiko Kase at the age of 74 in 2015, Kase's second son, Tomoki, joined the band and they continue to perform to this day. All three members except Tomoki are 78 years old. They laugh and say that as far as they know, they are the oldest band. When the band was formed, leader Kase interviewed each member individually and selected them, all of whom were students and amateurs. They talk about how surprised they were at how bad they were when they first appeared on the show.
After the leader's death, the group was rejuvenated with the addition of Tomoki, who was like a nephew to the group. Kuroyanagi cannot hide her amazement at the sight of them performing at live houses every month, still maintaining the same physique and image as when they debuted. What are the "three close friends" photographed by Tomoki talking about while eating their lunch?
