Voice actor Koichi Yamadera hosts the NHK Educational TV talk show "Bistro Voice" (Saturdays at 8:45 PM). On the March 14th broadcast, voice actor Takeuchi Shunsuke and impersonator Kanazuki will appear as guests. Takeuchi is known for his roles as Producer in "The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls" and Olaf in "Frozen 2," and is known as a "chameleon voice actor" who can effortlessly manipulate his voice from low to high notes. Takeuchi, whose diverse voice skills have earned him the honor of winning an impersonation show, regards Kanazuki as his mentor in impersonation. This master-student impersonation duo, who transcend genres, and Yamadera will have an in-depth discussion about voice.
"I really wanted to play Olaf," says Yamadera, the envious chameleon voice actor Takeuchi, as he shows off one amazing technique after another. Yamadera couldn't help but exclaim, "That's gross!" as Takeuchi is able to freely control even the frequency of his voice. It was actually Yamadera who got Takeuchi hooked on voice research. Takeuchi also talks about Yamadera's amazing techniques, which shocked him.
It was Kanazuki who taught Takeuchi how to do impersonations in a segment for Wednesday Downtown (TBS) that aired in 2021. The program delves into the master-disciple relationship that transcends genres, including the story behind the creation of Takeuchi's Fukuyama Masaharu impersonation, which he performed on the impersonation show. In addition to demonstrating his impersonation skills, Kanazuki also talks about the strengths of voice actors that he felt on the impersonation show.
A voice sommelier, a vocal specialist, thoroughly analyzed Takeuchi's voice and found that there are 1,944 different vocal patterns. A thorough comparison will be made between the voices of low-pitched characters and Olaf in "Frozen 2." In an impromptu collaboration of impersonations, the three will attempt Kanichi Kurita's legendary "Do-Re-Mi" trick.
Narrators Naochika Kenjiro Tsuda and Akio Otsuka will appear as guests on the February 28th broadcast.
