The eighth episode of the drama series "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Document Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring Nanako Matsushima, will be broadcast on February 26th.
Masako Yoneda (played by Matsushima), a tax investigator at the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's "Complex Tax Case Processing Division" (commonly known as "Zakkoku"), is informed by her superior, Minoru Mugitani (played by Shigeyuki Totsugi), that her department will be disbanded. Her visit to Naoya Haijima (played by Masanobu Katsumura) during the election campaign and her persistent investigation into the Takaba family have angered bigwigs in the political world.
The Zakkoku members are shocked, but they decide to investigate the Takaba family's secret funds and fulfill their duties in the month leading up to the demolition. However, at the same time, career officer Koichi Sasano (Hayato Sano) receives an unofficial notice to return to his former position at the Ministry of Finance.
Former Minister of Economy, Takaba Soichiro (Chiba Yudai), who has changed his ways and vowed to live an honest life, begins to tell Masako about the hidden fortune, or buried treasure, that has been passed down in the Takaba family.
After being elected and beginning his career as a politician, Haijima is joined by Masako's father, Taji (Terao Akira)...
