The 97th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was broadcast on February 17th. The episode featured the first appearance of Aragane Kusuo, a businessman who seems suspicious from every angle, played by Shukugawa Atom, and attracted the attention of viewers.
A new life has begun in Kumamoto, but Tsukasa (Takashi Okabe) is unemployed and has too much free time. One day, Tsukasa has a secret rendezvous with Arakane Kyushu Otoko, taking a large sum of money he has brought from home. Arakane introduces himself as "Arakane Kyushu Otoko," which means "a Kyushu man who spends money recklessly."
Arakane immediately instructed Tsukasasuke to show him the money he had prepared, saying, "Let me see your horse sashimi." Tsukasasuke said, "In addition to money from home, I also borrowed from a moneylender. How about this... how about this!" and showed him a large sum of money. Arakane proudly said, "Leave the rest to me," and laughed, "I'll make you a millionaire in no time." Arakane was confident that he would make a profit from the azuki bean market, so Tsukasasuke handed him the large sum and said, "I'm counting on you."
Shukugawa, who will play Arakane, will be appearing in a morning drama following "Beppin-san" in the second half of 2016, "Scarlet" in the second half of 2019, and "Boogie-Woogie" in the second half of 2023.
Comments on social media about Arakane's extremely suspicious nature included, "He's so fishy!", "Everything about him is shady, Shukugawa Atom has arrived!!!!", "He looks suspicious," "His name and appearance are just too dangerous!", "Isn't that a fake name?", "He's so suspicious he's practically a character from a manga," "How can we trust Arakane Kyushu Otoko," "I've been waiting to see the Okabe & Shukugawa duo act!", "His aura alone is scary," and "Shukugawa is a regular in BK's morning dramas."
