The 4K digitally restored versions of the films "Monday's Yuka," "Snow Country," and "Dry Flower," all starring actress Mariko Kaga, will be broadcast on BS12 Twelvi.
BS12 will feature Kaga, who has been called the "Japanese Brigitte Bardot" for her cute and glamorous looks. "Monday's Yuka," in which her mischievous charm is on full display, is a dry and fleeting, unconventional coming-of-age love story that depicts a fairy-like woman whose only purpose in life is to please men. It will air on the 9th at 7pm.
"Snow Country," based on a novel by Yasunari Kawabata, starring Shima Iwashita and directed by Hideo Oba, will be broadcast on the 10th at 6:50 p.m., while "Dry Flower," which caused a sensation in the Japanese film industry by depicting a yakuza who is captivated and enthralled by a mysterious woman, will be broadcast on the 16th at 7:00 p.m.
