It has been revealed that the three-piece band "THE ALFEE" will be appearing on the 3000th broadcast (February 22nd) of the long-running Nippon Television entertainment program "Shoten" (Sunday 5:30 pm). The band, who will be performing their 3000th live show this year, will be appearing as a special guest to commemorate the 3000th broadcast.
As THE ALFEE's classic song "Hoshizora no Distance" played, Takamizawa Toshihiko, Sakazaki Konosuke, and Sakurai Ken appeared on the Shoten stage, and the Shoten members erupted in excitement, exclaiming, "What drawing skills! It's like another world!" MC Shunputei Shota explained the reason for the offer, saying, "This year marks the 52nd anniversary of his debut, and he's apparently reached a whopping 3,000 live performances," to which Sakazaki replied, "April 17th, the day of this spring's tour, is Takamizawa's birthday, and that will be the 3,000th live performance," to which the audience erupted in applause.
Afterwards, the surprising similarities between THE ALFEE and Shoten and the members were revealed, and a lively conversation unfolded between them and the Shoten members. During the Ogiri, Takamizawa's flashy guitar playing also appeared, and a topic related to THE ALFEE also appeared. The Shoten members dressed up as elderly band members and gave a series of hilarious answers.

All three of us have been watching the show since we were kids, but we never thought that after becoming musicians, we would get an offer to appear on "Shoten."
