It has been revealed that Saito Soma, who plays Amai Rin, and Ozawa Ari, who plays Reimi, will appear in the third season of the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," based on the popular manga by Akutami Gege that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). It was also announced that next week on February 19th, a re-edited program called "Idle Talk" will be broadcast, featuring footage from the third season, "Death Tour Part 1," with new narration added. The broadcast will start at 2 a.m., 94 minutes later than the usual broadcast time.
Amai Rin and Reimi appeared in episode 54, "Tokyo First Barrier (1)," which aired late at night on February 12th. Amai Rin is a modern-day magician who has newly awakened as a swimmer (player) of the "Death Return." Reimi came into contact with Fushiguro, who had infiltrated Tokyo First Barrier.
Saito commented, "I have read and listened to both the original manga and the anime, so I am very happy to be involved as a voice actor. In Jujutsu Kaisen, which features many unique characters, he could be described as a rather petty-bourgeois character, being timid and cunning, but wanting to change himself. I hope you will pay attention to what he feels and how he acts in the story."
Ozawa said, "Reimi is a character who is desperate to survive and has a very human side to her. I think that in the anime you will be able to feel even more strongly how desperately Reimi tries to survive. Many new sorcerers with unique personalities will also be appearing, so I hope you will look forward to it."
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from March 2018 to September 2024. The story follows high school student Itadori Yuji, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses when a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The comic series has sold over 150 million copies worldwide. The third season of the anime, "Death Resurrection Part 1," is currently airing on the MBS/TBS anime block "Super Animeism TURBO."
