It has been announced that the popular webtoon "I Was Reincarnated as a Fat Villainess, but for Some Reason I'm Obsessed with the Final Boss Prince," which has recorded a total of approximately 70 million downloads, will be adapted into a TV anime. It has also been announced that Haruka Shiraishi will play the role of Celine, the former fat villain, and Takeo Otsuka will play Wilfred, the yandere final boss prince. The anime will be produced by Studio Rings, which also produced "I Want to Eat You, Monster."
The story is a reincarnation fantasy written by Kotoko and illustrated by Hanamiya Kaname. The protagonist is reincarnated as Celine, the villainous daughter of a popular novel, a selfish, fat, and unpopular character. In order to avoid her fate of death, she tries her best to reform herself through dieting and studying, but she finds herself caught up in an unexpected love and obsession.
A teaser visual featuring Celine and Wilfred and a motion comic PV featuring the two have been released.
