It has been revealed that Anna Nagase will be playing the new character Kache in the TV anime series "NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE," which is based on a popular game. Kache is a vocational school student who works as a cast member at a concept cafe.
Nagase commented, "Kache is the complete opposite of Chou Ten-chan; it's no exaggeration to say that she is the furthest thing from Chou Ten-chan and Karamazov. Kache feels that she is boring, ordinary, and corrupt, while the other characters are shining brightly and receiving praise. How will she feel about this gap, and how will it move the story forward? Please look forward to it. I will do my best to act as well. I hope you can feel the enthusiasm of the staff and cast."
It was also announced that Choten-chan will sing the opening theme "INTERNET ANGEL." A second promotional video was also released, featuring the song and scenes of Choten-chan performing live. The song was composed and arranged by Aiobahn +81, with lyrics by nyalra.
"NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE" is a multi-ending adventure game that follows the 30 days of a girl with a strong desire for approval who aims to become the best streamer, and her supporter, "Pi." Released on Steam in January 2022, the game has recorded a total of approximately 3 million downloads. The game has gained popularity, with related music being played over 400 million times. The anime will be produced by Yostar Pictures, the studio behind "Arknights" and "Blue Archive." It will begin airing in April.
Ahead of its TV broadcast, the theatrical release of "NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE -OVERTURE-" will be released at Theater Shinjuku (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) and Theater Umeda (Kita Ward, Osaka City) from March 6th. As a special gift for first-week visitors, an instant photo-style card with an original illustration by Okuhisashi, the original character designer, will be distributed.
