It has been revealed that Takao Hayato of the dance and vocal group "ONE N'ONLY" and actor Shida Kohaku will co-star in the drama series "Do You Want to Die, Girls?" (MBS and others), which will start in March.
The original work is a manga of the same name serialized by Nejiganameta on the manga site "Manga One" (Shogakukan). It is a love story between Shinomiya Takayuki, who is not good at taking the lead, and Kajitani Mizuki, who wants to take the lead, and the comic has sold over 600,000 copies in total.
Takao, who plays Shinomiya, an elite trading company employee who has a complex about sex after his previous girlfriend told him he was "bad at it," commented, "I thought this was a work that affirms a variety of values, and that the correct answer in love is not just to pursue stereotypes or what is considered normal in society. I will do my best to play Shinomiya in my own way!"
Shida, who plays Mizuki, a girl who doesn't like sweet gestures from men, such as being pushed against the wall or having her head patted, and who realizes that she is the one who should be the one taking the initiative, said, "I will do my best to portray the charming Mizuki, who is not bound by what is 'normal' and faces her true feelings. I hope you will look forward to this new type of romantic comedy!"
"Does a Girl Have Sex?" will be broadcast on MBS's late-night drama slot "Drama Phil" every Thursday at 1:29 a.m. starting March 5th. It will also be broadcast on TV Kanagawa, TV Saitama, and other networks.
