The key visual for "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo-," a new theater that will present stage content based on Naoko Takeuchi's popular manga "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," has been released. It shows Sailor Moon standing on a glittering stage.
The new theater will have its grand opening in April at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Club eX (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo). It will take over from the theater restaurant "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -SHINING MOON TOKYO-" which opened in Azabu-Juban, Tokyo in 2019, and will host a long-running show featuring the 10 Sailor Guardians.
The contents of the show, which will begin on April 4th, have also been announced. A mysterious enemy, Queen Valsia, who controls a flawless AI, appears and steals Usagi's heart, and strange changes also occur to the bodies of Mamoru, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako... The Sailor Soldiers' battle begins as they search for true love - human or AI?
To date, numerous "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" stage productions have been performed in Japan, including the musical "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" series. In 2018, the idol group "Nogizaka46" starred in the musical "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," which has been performed three times, and in 2025, the performance show "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Super Live" was performed. After a two-month long run in London, England, the show embarked on a North American tour, visiting 21 cities including Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and New York, attracting an audience of over 50,000. In October of the same year, the show made a triumphant return to Japan.
