"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Friday 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show in which "detectives" tackle viewers' unexpected requests and worries. On February 6th, detective Ken Maeda investigated and solved the "Hilarious! Collection of Short Stories." Entertainer Junji Takada made his first appearance on the show as the special director, along with assistant director Daigo Nagami and secretary Saori Masuda.
In this edition of "Hilarious! Anecdotes," Detective Maeda will be taking on three cases: "His special skill is high-speed multiplication tables" (male, 29, Tokyo), who can now "speak" the multiplication tables at high speed; his 9-year-old second son's special skill is "burping to say YES or NO" (female, 53, Kitakyushu); and "a man who knows no failure" (male, 33, Tokyo), who boasts that he has never lost a race walk in his life.

Junji Takada is known as "Japan's most careless man" and "irresponsible man," and is active as a comedian, actor, TV personality, and presenter. When he appeared in the studio, cheers of surprise rose from the audience.
During the show, she read her opening remarks seriously, then introduced herself with a silly, "I'm this week's special mission chief, Uemura Emiko." When asked about Night Scoop, she jokingly said, "I've heard it's a news program," but added, "It's a legendary program, and just being able to appear on it makes me feel glad to be alive." However, the detectives couldn't decide whether this comment was a lie or the truth, and both sides continued to grope around!
