Actor Higashide Masahiro will be a guest on the MBS talk variety show "Itaikai! Akashiya TV," which will be broadcast at 3:00 p.m. on January 31st.
This was his first time performing with host Sanma Akashiya in about 11 years. When Sanma said, "A lot has happened in these 11 years," Higashide laughed and said, "A lot has happened."
The program looks back on his eventful life. Higashide says that his turning point as an actor was his appearance in the NHK morning drama "Gochisousan," and he shows no signs of worrying about his past. Comedy duo Akina's Yamana Fumikazu asks him, "Can I ask you anything today?" He responds with a smile, "Yes, you can!" and engages in a frank conversation, with no restrictions, about scandals that have made headlines, among other topics.
Furthermore, a viewer who was worried about her boyfriend asked a very straightforward question: "Why do men take a risky path like cheating?" Higashide nodded "OK" and answered, prepared for a backlash. In response to that answer, Sanma criticized him, saying, "Higashide's out!"
Next, when asked "Do you do ego searching?", she confessed, "I watched everything right after the scandal." She also shared her feelings at the time, saying, "I only got a total of three hours of sleep over the nine days. I just wanted morning to come."
In response to the question, "What kind of life do you lead in the mountains?", Higashide introduced his life in the mountains with videos, including waking up at around 5am to go hunting. He seemed satisfied with living in an environment without television or air conditioning, saying, "It's a lot of fun," and Sanma expressed interest, saying, "I'd like to go there once." Higashide also asked Sanma, "Why do you keep working?" and waited for an answer from the big name in the entertainment industry.
