The third episode of the drama series "Winter Something, Spring Something" (NTV, Wednesdays at 10pm), starring actress Hana Sugisaki, aired on January 28th. Towards the end of the episode, there is a scene in which Fumina, a novelist played by Sugisaki, comes home after drinking and shows her drunken appearance to her boyfriend Yukio (Ryo Narita), which caused a stir on social media.

In episode 3, at the end of the year, Fumina returns to her hometown in Toyama for a mini-reunion with her high school friends. Her ex-boyfriend, Shibasaki Hide (Kura Yuki), arrives late. At the after-party, they go to karaoke and get excited about the reasons why they broke up. Shibasaki, intimidated by the long-distance relationship, broke up with Fumina when she moved to Tokyo. They now each have their own partners. After the after-party, Shibasaki goes for a walk with Fumina and tells her that he may be transferred to Tokyo.
The next day, while Fumina is visiting her father's grave in the rain, she gets a call from Shibasaki asking, "Can we meet up for a bit tomorrow?" When she meets Fumina the next day, Shibasaki reveals that her current boyfriend doesn't want to be in a long-distance relationship and that they've been talking about breaking up. Fumina suggests trying to persuade Shibasaki by telling her about their own past, when they were both in a similar long-distance relationship and broke up without even trying...and so the story unfolds.
After that, Fumina returns to Tokyo and meets up with Kotaro (Okayama Amane), a senior colleague from her part-time job in her student days, for a drink. While chatting with Kotaro, she also receives a call from her senior colleague, novelist Yamada Sen (Uchibori Taro), and they get excited talking about their time back home.
Then, still drunk, Fumina returns to Yukio's house, sits on the sofa, and asks him, "Am I swollen?" When Yukio replies, "I don't know if I'm swollen, but I can tell you're drunk," Fumina clings to Yukio's knees and shakes him, yelling, "You're not swollen!" She then goes to take a shower, begging Yukio to join her.
Fumina's drunk appearance became a hot topic on social media, with comments such as "Fumina is too cute when she's tipsy," "Drunk Fumina is too cute," "Fumina is so cute in front of her boyfriend," and "The way she acts sweet when she's drunk is too cute."
